Oi pessoal,
Tudo bem?
Ando meio sumida do mundo blogueiro, mas continuo visitando muitos blogs. Os meninos estao de ferias escolares por 5 dias, a chamada Herfst Vakantie e por este motivo, a gente aproveita para fazer coisas que nem sempre podemos com a nossa vida corrida.
Esta semana eles foram para Center Parcs com Nicinha
Foi maravilhoso, Segundo eles.
As palavras que eles usaram não foram bem essas hehe seria melhor dizer: ‘cool, legal, maneiro’.Ontem eles foram a um aniversário e dormiram lá na casa do Andrew.
Estamos aguardando aqui.
Amanhã eles irão a Valkenburg com o grupo de adolescents da IBC. Olhem a foto das ruínas:

I’ve been a little bit out of the ‘blog’s world’ but I still visit many blogs. The reason for this is that the kids are on vacation, what we call here Herfst vakantie and then we just want to do things that normally we don’t have time for.
This week they went to Center Parcs with Nicinha. It was great, according to them. Well their words were different, such as ‘cool’, ‘super’.Yesterday they went to a birthday party and they slept there in Andrew’s house. Now we are here waiting for them.
Tomorrow they will go to Valkenburg with the group of teens from IBC. Check the picture of the ruines:

Next week we go to Rotterdam for the Election Day in Brasil. We can vote in the consulate. In the evening we will have our Harvest Festival!

Harvest Festival in IBC
Every year we have a Harvest Festival in our church but do you know why?
Thanksgiving ceremonies and celebrations for a successful harvest are both worldwide and very ancient.
In England, they have given thanks for successful harvests since old times.
We celebrate this day by singing, praying and decorating the church with baskets of fruit and food in a festival known as 'Harvest Festival', usually during the month of September.
Harvest Festival reminds Christians of all the good things God gives them. This makes them want to share with others who are not so fortunate. In schools and in Churches, people bring food from home to a Harvest Festival Service. After the service, the food that has been put on display is usually made into parcels and given to people in need.
In our church, we will bring fruits in the morning, and in the evening, we will bring typical food from our country. We will eat together and celebrate this day. After this those who want, can bring portions home.
When is Harvest Festival?
Harvest festivals are traditionally held on or near the Sunday of the Harvest Moon. This is the full Moon that occurs closest to the autumn equinox (about Sept. 23). In two years out of three, the Harvest Moon comes in September, but in some years it occurs in October.
In our church we will celebrate ‘Harvest Festival’ on the 29th of October.

Cada ano nós temos um festival da colheita em nossa igreja mas você sabe por quê?
A ceremonia e a celebração de Thanksgiving por uma colheita bem sucedida são realizadas no mundo todo há muito tempo. Na Inglaterra, celebravam em agradecimento pelas colheitas bem sucedidas desde épocas remotas
Nós comemoramos este dia cantando, orando e decorando a igreja com cestas de frutas e de alimentos em um festival conhecido como o ‘festival da colheita’, geralmente durante o mês de setembro.
Este festival lembra aos cristãos de todas as coisas boas que o Senhor Deus nos dá. Isto nos faz querer compartilhar com os outros que não são assim tão afortunados.
Nas escolas e nas igrejas, os povos trazem o alimento de casa para o local do festival da colheita. Após o serviço, o alimento que foi posto sobre a exposição geralmente é feito em pacotes e distribuído a todos.
Em nossa igreja, nós vamos trazer frutas pela manhã, e `a noite, nós iremos trazer um prato típico do nosso país. Vamos comer juntos e celebrar este dia. Depois disso, todos aqueles que quiserem, levarão porções para casa.
Quando é o Festival da Colheita ?
Os festivais da colheita acontecem normalmente no ou perto do domingo da lua da colheita. Esta é a lua cheia que ocorre o mais perto ao equinócio do outono (sobre Sept. a 23). De dois anos a cada três, a lua da colheita vem em setembro, mas em certos anos ocorre em outubro.
Em nossa igreja nós vamos comemorar o ‘festival da colheita’ no dia 29 de outubro.
